Held from July 11 to July 17, 2026, the week-long programme was organised under the theme, “Engage, Educate, and Empower People for Improved HSE Culture.” The initiative brought together employees, management, stakeholders and members of the media to promote workplace safety, healthy living and environmental stewardship across the organisation.
The celebration featured a range of activities designed to strengthen awareness and encourage adherence to health, safety and environmental best practices. These included a health walk, community clean-up exercise, health screening sessions, media engagement, an HSE quiz competition and a closing durbar.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Managing Director of BOSTenergies, Mr. Afetsi Awoonor, underscored the importance of embedding health, safety and environmental excellence into every aspect of the company’s operations.
“Health, safety and environmental excellence remain at the heart of everything we do at BOSTenergies. While the HSE Week provides an important platform to reinforce these values, our commitment extends beyond this week. We must all continue to engage, educate and empower one another to ensure that safety remains a way of life throughout our organisation,” he stated.
Mr. Awoonor encouraged employees and stakeholders to continue observing safe work practices and to remain dedicated to building and sustaining a strong health and safety culture within the company.
According to BOSTenergies, the annual HSE Week forms an integral part of its broader commitment to protecting employee wellbeing, safeguarding the environment and enhancing operational efficiency through robust health and safety standards.
The company expressed appreciation to its employees, partners, facilitators, members of the media and other stakeholders whose support contributed to the success of the programme.
BOSTenergies reiterated that it will continue to champion health, safety and environmental excellence as it advances its vision of becoming West Africa’s leading net-zero integrated energy logistics and trading company.
