At its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Limited Company (BOST) officially announced its rebranding to BOST Energies, marking a strategic shift toward sustainability and alignment with Ghana’s National Energy Transition Framework.
Held at the company’s head office in Accra, the AGM convened key stakeholders including the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, the Director-General of SIGA, the CEO of the National Petroleum Authority, and representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Ghana Audit Service, and BOST’s Board and management.
Delivering the keynote address, the Minister praised BOST’s leadership—chaired by Professor Saint Kuttu and led by Managing Director Mr. Afetsi Awoonor—for enhancing operational efficiency and integrating sustainability into its core business. He urged the company to position itself as a leading downstream petroleum supplier and a driver of green innovation.
The Director-General of SIGA emphasized profitability and accountability, referencing the 2025 performance contract focused on cost optimization, revenue generation, and asset maximization. “Every decision must be justified by its contribution to national development and value creation,” he stated.
Professor Kuttu reaffirmed BOST’s mandate to secure strategic petroleum reserves and maintain robust infrastructure, highlighting governance improvements and oversight reforms.
The AGM also adopted the company’s 2024 audited financial statements and approved the official name change to BOST Energies. This rebranding signals a new era of cleaner, more sustainable operations, reinforcing the company’s role as Ghana’s strategic energy infrastructure provider.
